As principal and cofounder of Pod, Nick designs, plans, and builds custom software applications that keep Fortune 500 companies running and help pre-angel startups make their technical dreams a reality. Clients such as Bain Capital, Dovetail Health, Partners Healthcare, Harvard Law School, and Juniperks have relied on Nick’s expertise when building complex systems to manage secure employee benefits data, private patient and medication information, and socially-minded social networks.
Prior to founding Pod, Nick served as Director of Architecture for Eze Castle Software with overall responsibility for the development of a real-time, multi-tier architecture to support Eze Castle’s trade order management platform. At Sapient Corporation, Nick led the Rapid Enterprise Architecture Planning (REAP) team. A primary focus of this practice was working with clients such as Staples and Harrahs Entertainment whose infrastructures grew rapidly due to organic growth or acquisition and helping them rationalize their architectural legacy while preparing for future growth. While leading the highly successful Microsoft Framework Team, Nick supported the successful delivery of over $100M in revenue for Sapient’s client teams.
In addition to Technical Blah-Blah-Blah, Nick speaks Italian, French, and adequate English with a Scottish accent. But don’t worry about getting lost in translation. He’ll be out mountain biking when you call. When he comes back, he will solve your technical dilemmas by standing next to them. If you don’t mind listening to him prattle on about elegant code, he will design your technical architecture and develop your entire suite of software in less time than most people spend in the shower. And if you’ll let him (as if you could stop him), he’ll explain his success is thanks to an aerospace engineering degree from University of Bristol, England.
