As a principal consultant at pod, Christian is just as comfortable working as a one-man technical band for our small-to-medium size clients as he is playing key technical architecture and leadership roles for complex development projects with fifteen-person teams and multi-million dollar budgets. As pod’s utility player, Christian has worked with a diverse array of clients, from Bain Capital to Pacific Business Group on Health, Safecor Health, Biogen, Care.com, OHO Interactive, and budding ecommerce businesses around Boston. As our resident big-data and business intelligence expert, he fastidiously keeps up with the latest data security trends in English, German, and French.

Christian joined pod from Aviva Life Insurance, where he was Director of Distributed Systems and managed Aviva’s web, print, and middleware applications and development initiatives. Prior to Aviva, he was an independent web application development consultant and (among other notable accomplishments) led the technical design and development for sites such as kofc.org (2005), standardandpoors.com (2001-2003), and law.com (2000). In the late 90s, Christian developed client/server and business intelligence applications for Sun Life Financial. That’s the 1990s for you millennials. No, that does not make him old—he’s experienced.

Christian claims that working at pod and raising two kids leaves him with no free time—unless you count the time he spends visiting family in Austria (where he earned a master of science degree in electrical engineering from Technical University in Vienna) and traveling to other exotic locations, or the time he spends training for triathlons, or the time he spends on DIY home improvement projects. We’re not sure where he finds the time. He may be building a Tardis in his basement.
